Opportunity knocks for people in search of job Posted: 03 May 2010 04:10 PM PDT Success Doncaster, which aims to boost employment and business opportunities in the town, has opened the advice point in Doncaster Market's Corn Exchange. Workers at the centre said they are aiming to provide a "hub" for residents to gain help and advice on any aspect of helping to improve their employment position. It is hoped opportunity centres will be set up in several communities in the borough by the Success Doncaster programme which is building links with employers. They will play a "key role" in supporting residents in their search for work, improve their skills through training and education and help "break down barriers" that are stopping people progressing. Doncaster Council's director of neighbourhoods and communities, Jane Miller said: "This new facility has been set up specifically to support local people into employment. It will provide a wide range of related assistance and support in respect of people's working lives. "The service has been designed for local people and I would very much like to encourage Doncaster residents who might need support and advice in connection with employment to make contact with the centre." Mrs Miller said services such as advice and support on issues like benefit allowances, debt counselling and help in finding suitable employment would all be available in one place. The Opportunity Centre is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Posted: 03 May 2010 04:01 PM PDT On 4th May in a UK skincare company first, Simple will start searching for an online spokesperson and marketer, to join its existing marketing team, but unbelievably, no previous marketing experience is required. One lucky person could win the job of a lifetime…and a prize package worth up to £50k! (PRWeb UK) May 3, 2010 -- Through the unique recruitment opportunity, Simple, the UK's No. 1 Facial Skincare brand¹, will invite people across the country to promote themselves to gain support and crucial votes – similar to any election campaign – as a stepping stone to secure a place at Beauty Boot Camp. This second stage will be a series of rigorous interviews to select the final winner of the new role. Group Marketing Director for Simple, Alex Pike, said: "It's really important for Simple to own online marketing. We don't want to hire someone the conventional way, as we don't want them to be constrained by text-book theories. We have developed this unique recruitment process to give applicants the chance to showcase their flair and creativity – which proves they have a natural aptitude and passion for marketing – but means qualifications are not necessary." The role has been designed to be part-time so it can be flexible around someone's lifestyle. It will encompass everything within online marketing including being company spokesperson through blogs, forums, Twitter and Facebook; and developing appropriate campaigns that utilize online to raise awareness of Simple and its products. Alex continued: "This is a real opportunity for someone who has no marketing qualifications to follow a life-long ambition into a dream role or change their current career. "We'll be looking for someone who really embodies the brand – is down-to-earth, honest and confident, and believes in natural beauty." In parallel, Simple will also be seeking an ambitious teen, who will win a role as the Simple Official Video Blogger' and a seat on the Simple Junior Board of Skincare Advisors.
